Microsoft's been making a big marketing push for Windows 8 since its Oct. 26 launch, and several of its other products have recently been given marketing campaigns as well. The latest product to receive such a campaign is the company's SkyDrive cloud storage service, which has been given a commercial featuring Aubrey Plaza of the television show "Parks and Recreation."
The commercial, which promotes both SkyDrive and Office 365, also announces a new deal from Microsoft for college students: three months of Office 365 University and an extra 20GB of SkyDrive storage space for free. Those who share the deal on Facebook also get another three months of Office 365 for free for a total of six months of the service.
To redeem the offer, all students have to do is enter their .edu email addresses to the Office for Students website.
Since the start of the new year, Microsoft has been marketing its web-based services to a much greater degree than it has in the past. The company's new email service, Outlook.com, has been given several commercials that began airing last month.
