Microsoft released what it describes as a "MAJOR" update to its Arrow Launcher Garage project over the weekend. The update brings the app to version 2.2, but don't let that suggest that this is a minor update.
After all, it would appear that Arrow Launcher doesn't subscribe to normal versioning. Microsoft Garage launched version 2.0 in June with Office 365 integration, but it didn't slow down in July with version 2.1, when it added material design animations and more.
Version 2.2 seems to be a more significant update than either of the previous two. Then again, while 2.0 should be a major update, it didn't have the word "MAJOR" in all capital letters.
Here's what's new:
We have an exciting MAJOR update for you:
1) Fully customizable home page. You asked, we listened. 100% freedom to place the apps and widgets that you want on your "Apps" page.
2) "Double tap screen to lock" feature is back.
3) Collage feature. In "Recent" page, hold down on any of your photos at the top to HIDE, ANNOTATE, or SHARE.
4) Live wallpaper support.
Enjoy Arrow Launcher!
The app has been extraordinarily popular since its launch in October. The Play Store lists it as having been downloaded between one million and five million times, which isn't the most specific metric; however, at the current time, it has been reviewed over 87,000 times for an average score of 4.3, and that includes over 55,000 five-star ratings.
