A new build of Office Mobile for Windows 10 is available for devices on the Insider Program. The update brings the version number to 17.7466, and it brings a few new features.
It's listed as the October update, as these things do tend to appear monthly. The last one showed up a bit later in the month on September 16. If you're not on the Insider Program, don't worry, as these updates will likely show up within a couple weeks.
Here's what's new:
- Chart Elements in Office Mobile apps* Now you can add or remove chart elements like titles, data labels, or legends. * This feature requires an O365 subscription.
- Edit your charts in Word Mobile Change chart type, layout, color, or chart style all in Word Mobile.
Share an individual page with OneNote* No need to share the whole notebook anymore. Send a viewing link to a single page of your choice and let others see it in a browser – no sign-in or app required. *Currently available to limited number of Insiders.
Table shading available in OneNote Give your tables a makeover by adding colorful shadings to cells, rows, or columns and make your tables easier to read.
Unlike the Office Insider Program on other platforms, the Windows 10 apps aren't something that you simply opt into. There are two requirements: your device needs to be on the Windows Insider Program, and you need to have an Office 365 subscription.
As always, Microsoft wants feedback regarding these builds, which you can provide through any Office Mobile app by going to File -> Feedback, tweeting to @OfficeInsider, or heading over to the Office Insider Community.
