Earlier today, Microsoft released Windows 10 Insider Preview build 14388 for PC and Mobile to the Fast ring. Now, the corresponding SDK is available to download.
The Windows 10 Anniversary Update is coming on August 2. There will be updates for PCs and phones, but there will also be variants for all other Windows 10 devices, such as Xbox One; however, the Xbox update will be broken up into two pieces.
The last such SDK that we saw was from build 14383. There haven't been many changes since then:
- Minor bug fixes, no API delta changes
There are a couple other things to note. Since the Anniversary Update is only three weeks away, Microsoft recommends beginning to test your app with the new APIs.
Also, this is still a pre-release build of the SDK, despite the EULA stating that it's an RTM build. As usual, it does not have a "go-live license", meaning that apps built with this SDK will not be allowed to be offered through the Windows Store.
You can download today's Preview SDK from the developer section of Windows Insider.
