Earlier this week, Microsoft released Windows 10 build 18894 for Insiders in the Fast Ring, which introduced a new search experience for a subset of users. Unfortunately, that build also broke the Your Phone app, which syncs information from your phone to your PC. To fix that, Microsoft is now rolling out a second build for this week.
Today's release is build 18895, just one number higher than the previous build, and aside from making Your Phone work again, there are no other changes to speak of. That means the build comes with the same known issues as 18894 from Wednesday.
Interestingly enough, this "hotfix" build isn't available for Insiders in certain editions and languages of Windows 10. These include:
- Windows 10 Home N x64 in HU-HU and PT-PT.
- Windows 10 Home x64 in CS-CZ, ES-ES, and KO-KR.
- Windows 10 Professional x64 in LV-LV and ES-MX.
If you're in the Fast Ring and you miss the Your Phone integration, you can check for updates now to get the fix. As for new features, we may have to wait a little longer, as Microsoft still hasn't added anything major to build in the 20H1 release cycle. Remember, that Windows 10 update is only planned for next year, so there's still some time for new features to appear.
