A couple of weeks ago, Microsoft released a firmware update for its Surface Pro 3 - its first in three months. Now, another update is available for the high-end Windows tablet.
The update actually began rolling out over twelve hours ago, spotted by Microsoft MVP Michael Gillett. Unfortunately, as is so often the case these days, the company released the update without adding any information about it on its Surface Update History page. At time of writing, that page still lists the most recent update as having been released last month.
It seems likely that the new firmware will address recent complaints about battery life on the Surface Pro 3. Microsoft acknowledged those concerns, but said that only a "limited number of customers [are] experiencing this issue".
It added that the problem is not related to the Pro 3's battery cells themselves, and that it expects to be able to fix the issue with a software update.
Whether this latest update resolves those battery issues remains to be seen - but let us know in the comments below if you see any improvements (or deterioration) in battery life after installing it.
