Beginning on October 10, HP's Elite x3 will be available to purchase in Microsoft retail stores, says Peter Han, VP of OEM Worldwide Marketing at Microsoft. According to a report from PCMag, while the device is already on sale in Microsoft's online stores, it will show up in physical stores next week.
The saga of Elite x3 sales has been a long and confusing one. Microsoft began shipping the device back in mid-September, and then it delayed sales until mid-October. It now says that it will ship in 3-7 business days, but still, this is only the story of US sales. The UK has had similar bumps in the road.
If you're not familiar with HP's first Windows 10 Mobile offering, the company is calling it a 3-in-1. Aimed squarely at businesses, HP promises that the Snapdragon 820 chipset has the power of an Intel Core i3 and with accessories such as the Desk Dock and the Lap Dock, it can be your only PC. Also, as PCMag says, "The Elite x3 also features a headphone jack."
If you haven't gotten a chance to check one out in person and you're interested, head over to a Microsoft store beginning next week. They should have them on display.
