Microsoft announced today that Windows 10 is now installed on over 200 million active devices. Among those devices is its flagship Surface Book, which the company calls "the ultimate laptop" - but so far, it's only been available to buy in the US and Canada since it was first unveiled in early October.
However, the long wait for Surface Book availability will soon come to an end for those in ten new markets around the world. Having recently opened pre-orders in China and Hong Kong, you'll also be able to pre-order the device from tomorrow in:
- Australia
- Austria
- France
- Germany
- New Zealand
- Switzerland
- United Kingdom
Surface Book pre-orders will soon open in Japan too, and Microsoft also confirmed today that its Surface Pro 4 will go on sale in India "in the coming weeks".
Of course, while Surface Book pre-orders will open tomorrow in those new markets, you'll have to wait a bit longer for the device to actually arrive. Petri reports when the Book will begin shipping in those markets:
- China and Hong Kong: from January 15
- Australia and New Zealand: from January 28
- Austria, France, Germany, Switzerland and United Kingdom: from February 18
Are you planning to pre-order a Surface Book in one of these new markets? Or have you perhaps been put off by the issues for which Microsoft apologized last month (and which still haven't been fully resolved)? Let us know your thoughts below.
