Microsoft has been stepping up its marketing and advertising campaign for the upcoming Windows 8/RT Surface tablet. It has placed "street art" ads on the sides of buildings in New York and Los Angeles and included the product's slogan, "Click in" in some of those ads.
Now there's word that a TV commercial promoting the Surface may already have been filmed. The Italian website ScattidiGusto.it claims that the production crew filmed a sequence for the ad in the city of Naples. The article says that the production was supposed to be top secret but claims that the ad will feature a mother and daughter using the Surface to find where in the world the best bread is made.
Microsoft has yet to confirm it is making TV commercials for the Surface. Indeed, the company has yet to even admit it is behind the Surface street ads in NYC and LA. However, Microsoft will almost certainly be creating TV spots to promote the Surface tablet when the Windows RT version is launched on October 26th. If they are, filming of those commercials at this time is certainly well timed.
