It's been a very busy week for Microsoft To-Do, with both the mobile apps and the web version getting some welcome improvements. But the folks over at Redmond don't seem keen on stopping there, and there's even more news for the task management service, this time through the Windows 10 app.
As Windows Central reports, a new update should be rolling out to Insiders today, and it brings a couple of new features for them to try. The most visible change is the support for Live Tiles, which have been a staple feature in Windows 10 since its original release. The Live Tile for Microsoft To-Do will show you the tasks you have for the current day as well as a progress indicator, telling you how many of the planned tasks you've already completed. As seen in the image below, it also seems to support almost all of the available tile sizes in the Start menu.
Additionally, the Windows 10 app is also getting support for background syncing, This is likely a requirement for the Live Tile to work properly when the app is used across devices, but it should also make it faster to see any changes made on different devices when you open the app itself.
As often is the case, the update seems to be rolling out gradually, as it's not showing up on our test devices. If you're interested in the feature, look out for version 1.40.12541.0 of the app. If you haven't yet, you can download Microsoft To-Do for Windows 10 here.
