Microsoft's To-Do app was updated to include elements of the Fluent Design system a couple of months ago, while more recently, the concept of list sharing was introduced to the app. Now, the latest update brings a dark mode option for all Windows 10 users. Previously, this feature was only available for initial testing by Insiders.
Although the dark theme is the only new feature being brought in version 1.33.11732.0, a couple of other minor tweaks have been made as well. These can be viewed in the full changelog below:
- Introducing Dark Theme! Just head to your app Settings where you’ll have the choice to select the new dark theme. We hope you’ll find it as easy on the eyes as we do.
- We’ve made it easier to create recurring to-dos. With this update, the option to repeat a to-do is always visible in the detail view.
- To-dos in shared lists are now included in Suggestions, so you’ll have a better overview of all your to-dos when planning your day.
With each update to the To-Do app, Microsoft will be hoping that users consider it a progressively more viable option in comparison to Wunderlist, the task management app acquired by the firm in 2015. Reportedly, the tech giant will be looking to add Cortana integration at some point in the future as well.
As always, the company has welcomed further suggestions to improve the app at its UserVoice forum, while any help regarding the app can be obtained here. To make use of the dark theme, you can download the latest version of To-Do here.
