While there's still under two months to go until the Xbox One X hits store shelves around the world, it's fairly safe to say that it is a highly anticipated console given Microsoft recently announced that it saw the "fastest-selling Xbox pre-order ever". Interest in the gaming system has also been stoked by competitions, such as one being run by Doritos and Mountain Dew offering people the chance to get their hands on an Xbox One X before it is released.
In the meantime, gamers have had to sit tight, but those in Australia can get some hands-on time with the console at an event taking place at the Microsoft Store in Sydney. In terms of what fans can expect, the following was posted on store's Facebook page:
"This weekend for one day only on Sunday, 24th September 2017, flagship Microsoft Store Sydney will be hosting a special event from 12pm – 6pm AEST where Xbox fans and the community can get hands on with Forza Motorsport 7 and Super Lucky’s Tale on Xbox One X ahead of launch.
This will be a limited time, one day event and the first hands on for Australian fans with Xbox One X, the world’s most powerful console designed for immersive true 4K gaming, ultimate compatibility, and unrivalled craftsmanship ahead of its launch on 7th November 2017."
With six days before the event takes place, this may not be the most convenient venue for those outside of New South Wales to attend on short notice, but it might represent the best opportunity for Aussies to try out Microsoft's latest console. Otherwise, if you happen to be in the area, it may be an informative experience for those on the fence about parting with their hard-earned cash or making decisions about household gifts for the holiday season.
In any instance, if you're keen on attending the event, make sure you register your interest on the Microsoft Store's Facebook page.
