Microsoft unveiled the Lumia 950 and 950 XL over a month ago, promising availability in some markets in November. Over in the UK, the Microsoft Store opened pre-orders for the new handsets a couple of weeks ago, but only very briefly - while a fortunate few were able to place their orders, others have since found the pre-order button replaced with one reading "email me when available".
Microsoft MVP Michael Gillett shed a bit of light on the situation today, for those eagerly anticipating the UK arrival of the new Windows 10 Mobile flagships. Attending the company's Future Decoded event in London this afternoon, he was told by Microsoft that pre-orders had gone live a bit earlier than originally planned, which is why they're no longer available.
But there's good news on that front - Michael was also told that pre-orders will open again in the UK next week, although an exact date wasn't provided.
However, there was a bit of bad news for Microsoft fans in the UK today as well. Its new Surface Book - which the company calls "the ultimate laptop" - won't go on sale in the UK until around March/April next year.
