Earlier this week, Microsoft became the latest tech company to significantly raise some of its prices in the UK, due to currency fluctuations following the countrys Brexit referendum decision to leave the European Union. Its Surface Books now cost up to £400 more than they did last week, while its Surface Pro 4 range has increased in price by up to 12%.
Microsoft appears to be trying to soften the impact of those considerable price hikes with a new deal on its Surface devices in the UK.
The company is now offering a two-year Microsoft Complete insurance plan with purchases of any device in the Surface Book or Surface Pro 4 ranges, with the exception of the entry-level Pro 4, which was also the only model not to get a price increase this week. The Microsoft Complete plan includes:

For the Surface Pro 4, the Complete package is worth £149; and on the Surface Book, it would ordinarily cost £219. On top of that, though, Microsoft is also offering Surface Book buyers a free one-year Office 365 Home subscription, worth £79.99, bringing the total value of the freebies to £298.99.
The deal will continue until March 1.
