Microsoft Windows XP events are starting!

Thanks Martog for this: Microsoft has started to make its rounds to the various cities for the launch of Windows XP. Most of the cities have already been visited. Mine was visited today and I attended the night session. It was a two hour session for those who have not been to one.

They basically did a quick over view of the new features of their latest operating system. This is one of the smaller events they have as it is nothing like the big ones that Microsoft holds. This was just at a hotel and maybe two hundred at max could attend.

Besides getting a briefing over Windows XP, they also touched on Plus! addition to Windows XP and the new MSN 7 and its new features.

For the goodies they gave us, we got a bag with Windows XP on it, some pamphlets, MSN CD, a pencil with Windows XP on it, a Windows XP watch, a pen with Windows XP on it that also function as a touch pen for the Palm type computers, and of course, one Windows XP Professional CD that is holographic, and is not for retail or OEM distribution.

We had fun making jokes and such with the various things they were discussing. It was a pretty good time because of that. I am going to Xbox Exposed next month which is a launch event similar to Windows XP.
