Tomorrow, Microsoft will hold its E3 press conference, but details of one of its key announcements have already been revealed, thanks to leaked images.
Recent rumors have suggested that the company has been working on a new slimmer version of its Xbox One, and according to this image posted on the NeoGAF forums, that's exactly what it will be unveiling. Behold, the Xbox One S.
The image - which appears to be a screenshot from a Microsoft web page about the updated console - only shows the Xbox One S in white with a black base, and it's not yet clear if other color options will be offered.
The description indicates that the console will be "40% smaller" than the first-gen Xbox One, with a 2TB hard drive, and support for 4K Ultra HD video and High Dynamic Range. A "streamlined controller" is shown in the image too, while a vertical stand is also promised.
The original Xbox One can only be positioned horizontally, but the image below (also from NeoGAF) shows the vertical stand option:
We'll keep you posted on further developments, and we'll bring you all the official announcements from Microsoft's E3 press conference tomorrow.
