Back in September 2017, Microsoft announced that it will be opening a new flagship store in London, UK. In the following 17 months, the firm hasn't really provided any new details on its new location, such as when it will open. There were some job listings for managers at the store that appeared in October, but that's about it.
According to a report from The Telegraph today, the store is finally set to open its doors this summer, a date that Microsoft still hasn't confirmed. Since the firm started posting job listings in October, there have been over 100 listings for full- and part-time workers, promising that the store will have "hands-on experiences with innovative technology to unique programmes".
Much like Apple's retail stores, Microsoft Stores offer lots of different kinds of workshops, such as coding seminars. But it also has things like PC and Xbox gaming tournaments for various games like Halo: The Master Chief Collection, League of Legends, and Gears of War 4, and it has Fortnite Fridays.
The report cited employees on Twitter saying that the store will be opening this year, and there are also planning documents for a new staircase in the building and lights on the outside to light it up at night.
