Shoppers attempting to bag the best bargains over the holiday season have been spoilt for choice in recent weeks. If you've been on the lookout for an ultra-affordable smartphone, you might want to head over to Best Buy, where you can now buy two of Microsoft's Windows Phones for less than their regular price.
The Lumia 435 is Microsoft's entry-level smartphone, and you can usually pick it up from Best Buy for $49.99, with no-contract but locked to T-Mobile. Exactly the same device (white, off-contract, locked to T-Mo) costs $70 via the Microsoft Store - but you can currently pick it up for just $29.99 at Best Buy.
The impressive Lumia 640 is also available via the same retailer for a bit less than its regular price. The 4G LTE handset costs $59.99 via the Microsoft Store with no contract, but locked to AT&T; over at Best Buy, you can buy it now for $49.99 (only available in black).
Both handsets are available with free shipping - although it's unlikely that that option will get the devices to you in time for Christmas.
Microsoft has confirmed that both the Lumia 435 and Lumia 640 will be among the very first handsets to be upgraded to Windows 10 Mobile. That upgrade was due to begin this month, but Microsoft revealed last week that those plans have now been pushed back to "early next year".
Don't forget: you can win a Lumia 640 with a 128GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC card in our latest global giveaway!
