Microsoft's latest flagship phones, the Lumia 950 and 950 XL, went on sale in India last week, and now the company has announced that its new budget-friendly Windows 10 Mobile handset, the Lumia 550, will go on sale there next week.
The Lumia 550 will be available in India from December 23, priced at Rs.9,399 INR (just over $140 USD), which is roughly in line with the SIM-free retail price of $139 that Microsoft announced for the low-end handset at its launch event in October.
The Lumia 550's key specs include:

- Quad-core 1.1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor
- 1GB RAM
- 8GB onboard storage (plus microSD card support up to 200GB)
- 5MP rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash (720p video recording at 30fps)

- USB 2.0 with Type-B connector
- 4G LTE connectivity
- nanoSIM
- 2100mAh battery
- 136.1 x 67.8 x 9.9mm; 142g
The Lumia 550 is also available in various other markets, including many across Europe.
