Earlier this month, we learned that Microsoft is preparing a new feedback portal for Microsoft 365 services, Teams, Edge, and Windows. Just like many other forums that the company has launched over the years, such as UserVoice, this hub is yet another place for people to log feedback and requests to the Redmond tech giant about its software.
It now appears that the portal is live for Microsoft Teams as a preview, as announced in a blog post. It's simply referred to as "Feedback (preview)" on the dedicated page and there are sections included for Teams, Edge, and the portal itself. Interestingly, Microsoft's blog post only mentions preview availability for Teams, and the dedicated section for that can be perused here.
The portal is fairly easily to use with the requests filed by users being the center of attraction along with multiple filters such as platform, category, number of votes etc. Users can also "star" their favorite ideas to track them and receive a notification from Microsoft when they receive an official response. The Redmond tech giant had previously stated that the mechanism is powered by its Dynamics 365 Customer Service.
It is important to note that while the portal is publicly accessible, it is still in preview. As it matures, it will reportedly be used to track feedback across other Microsoft 365 services, and even Windows. However, there is no firm date for general availability yet.
