Two weeks ago, Microsoft announced the latest additions to the Surface family. Unlike the last couple of years when it's announced new models of the Surface Pro and Surface Laptop, we got something different this year. There are new configurations of the Surface Pro X, and the all-new Surface Laptop Go.
As promised, both of the new PCs are available today. If you pre-ordered, you've probably gotten a shipment notification by now.
The Surface Pro X is now available with an SQ2 processor and in a Platinum color. The new color is exclusive to the SQ2 SKUs, which start at $1,499. You can also get the Surface Keyboard in fancy new colors, such as Poppy Red, Ice Blue, and Platinum.
You can find the Surface Pro X here and the new Surface Keyboards here.
And then there's the Surface Laptop Go, Microsoft's new lightweight and compact version of the Surface Laptop. It's got an Intel Core i5-1035G1, as opposed to the Pentium Gold that's in the Surface Go, and it weighs in at just 2.45 pounds. Microsoft promises a full-size keyboard, and instead of an IR camera, it comes with a one-touch fingerprint sensor.
The Surface Laptop Go starts at $549, and that comes with 4GB RAM, 64GB eMMC storage, and no fingerprint sensor. Like the Surface Go, upgrading to the next tier gets you 8GB RAM and a 128GB SSD, and that also has the fingerprint sensor. You can check it out here.
