Less than two weeks ago, Microsoft slashed 15% off its top-of-the-line Surface Pro 3 models in the UK in a one-day-only 'flash sale'. The discount brought down the cost of the Intel Core i7 models by up to £232 - but if you missed the chance to take advantage of that offer, the opportunity has popped up again today.
Just like last time, the latest 15% price cut applies only to the two Core i7 models:
- 256GB / 8GB RAM | usually £1299 | now £1104.15 | save £194.85
- 512GB / 8GB RAM | usually £1549 | now £1316.65 | save £232.35
The savings mean that the Surface Pro 3 Core i7 / 256GB is currently available for just £25 more than the Core i5 / 256GB model (£1079) - a worthy upgrade for such a modest premium.
Unfortunately, it's not entirely clear how long these discounts will last, as Microsoft recycled the same small print from the last offer, which states the expiry date as September 16.
But given that the earlier sale lasted just 24 hours, you probably shouldn't wait too long if you're thinking of grabbing the Surface Pro 3 at this price. But don't forget that the new Surface Pro 4 will be unveiled next week - and you might just want to see what Microsoft has in store for the next-gen device before you spend that kind of money.
