At the end of May, Microsoft ditched the name Beam for its streaming service, instead going for the rather less descriptive Mixer. Nevertheless, updates have kept pouring in since, with USB webcam broadcasting support on the Xbox One, and more recently, the addition of the ability to stream directly to the service in the newest Minecraft beta. Now, the site is getting improved language support, too.
Specifically, Mixer now supports 21 languages, as follows:
Chinese Simplified (zh-CN) | French (fr-FR) | Portuguese (pt-BR) |
Chinese Traditional (zh-TW) | German (de-DE) | Portuguese (pt-PT) |
Danish (da-DK) | Italian (it-IT) | Russian (ru-RU) |
Dutch (nl-NL) | Japanese (ja-JP) | Spanish (es-ES) |
English (en-GB) | Korean (ko-KR) | Spanish (es-MX) |
English (en-US) [Default] | Norwegian (nb-NO) | Swedish (sv-SE) |
Finnish (fi-FI) | Polish (pl-PL) | Turkish (tr-TR) |
If you wish to change the site's language, simply go to Account and scroll down to Site Language, where you'll be able to pick one of the 21 options above form a dropdown.
There's no word yet on when - or if - other languages will be added to this list in the future.
