Even as supposed details on Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 are leaked onto the Internet, the game's developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision are finally beginning to admit that the next game in the first person shooter series actually exists. This week Infinity Ward released four teaser trailers for the game which is expected to be released sometime this November.
The teaser trailers, which you can check out below, show off the of Modern Warfare 3's locations around the world. The trailers mirror those of the first teaser trailer for Modern Warfare 2 in 2009. The locations in the three Modern Warfare 3 trailers show off the island of Manhattan in New York City, the landscape of London, England, an undetermined location in Germany and finally an explosion in the heart of Paris, France. There's also a Russian speaking in his native tougue at the end of each trailer.
The teaser trailers show that Modern Warfare 3 will truly be a globe-trotting epic and if the leaks about the game's story are to be believed the scope of the game will dwarf those of the previous installment in the series. While Infinity Ward is supposed to be the main developer of the game the rumor is that other Activision studios like Raven Software and Sledgehammer Games are also working on the title.
The game will also face perhaps its biggest challenge in terms of keeping its first person shooter audience. Developer Digital Illusions and publisher Electronic Arts plans to release its major modern military shooter Battlefield 3, which has already generated a ton of buzz, in the fall of 2011.
