Moto GP 2 Announced

Strikingly excellent motorbike racer gets a sequel on Xbox and PC.

Motorbike games rarely seem to capture the playing public's attention in the same way as yer Ridge Racers and yer Gran Turismos, but here's one title that assuredly deserves a closer viewing, if only on the strength of the original.

Moto GP 2 is being developed for PC and Xbox by Climax, the same British coding team which came up with the still gripping original Moto GP. This latest Xbox version will again offer online play as well plenty of additional features in one-player mode.

This time we're promised a stunt racing mode as well as more usual racing options, and there will be 16 real-life tracks as well as all the bikes and riders from the 2002 Moto GP series. Not that we'd know these people from Adam, but, y'know, it's nice to be authentic. GP2 is set to arrive in May 2003
