Good news for the 2014 Moto X fans this morning as that particular handset seems to be poised to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in the near future, and thanks to a small leak we also know what Motorola users can expect.
The company has been really good with updates lately, pushing them out to handsets in record time and it seems that trend will continue with this new release.
The folks over at Phandroid claim to have gotten their hands on an internal test build of the latest version of Android destined for Motorola handsets and according to them the 2014 version of the Moto X will receive Android 5.0 in the very near future.
The OS build, which is at this point around a week old, has been circulating on test units for the last few days and besides the obvious OS upgrades, Motorola’s flavour also adds a few new things worth checking out: a slightly redesigned camera app to better fit with the new Material Design aesthetic coupled with their own traditional software on top of the rest of the OS.
There’s no solid release date but according to this same report the “Pure Edition” is expected to receive the update in the next few weeks.
