Lenovo's Motorola division is said to launch an "exciting" new product on June 9, and it could be the recently leaked Moto G with a fingerprint sensor.
Yesterday, Lenovo launched the powerful Zuk Z2 Pro smartphone in Beijing. After the event, the company's CEO, Yang Yuanqing revealed what might be the launch date of the 2016 Moto G smartphone. The device has already leaked on a couple of occasions but there's not much known about it. Yang has assured that the Motorola device which will be will be launched on the 9th of June will be an exciting one.
According to rumours, there could be two variants of the fourth generation Moto G, one being the standard version and the other a Plus version. The main difference between the two is said to be the fingerprint sensor which will be included on the latter. Similar to last year's Moto G variants, the other differentiating factors could be the amount of RAM, internal storage and 4G support.
Earlier this year, Lenovo announced its plans to reorganize its smartphone division, and use the Moto brand for its mid-range and premium lineup. The upcoming Moto G will be one of the first smartphones from the company as part of this strategy, and we will hopefully know more about its plans at the event.
