From Asa Doztler's write up @ mozillazine.org; its going on presently, so get digging!
"It's been more than four years since the first BugDay at #mozillazine and almost two years since the last BugDay. This Wednesday (December 17th) Simon Paquet and Asa Dotzler will be hosting the return of BugDays to IRC. Join us for help in getting started reporting bugs and to help us clean up the bug database, weeding out duplicate reports, confirming or resolving bugs, and adding comments and testcases to assist developers working on difficult issues.
BugDay, what is it?
BugDay is an informal collaborative bug hunting effort and an opportunity to become comfortable with Mozilla (Firebird, Thunderbird, and Camino, too) and Bugzilla, mozilla.org's bug reporting tool.
When and where is it?
This weekly event is hosted by #mozillazine at irc.mozilla.org. The first revival BugDay meeting will be this Wednesday, December 17 (morning into evening USA time).
Who is going to be there?
Everyone is welcome. If you want Mozilla (or Firebird, Thunderbird or Camino) to improve sooner rather than later, then make it happen. We will have first time as well as veteran bug hunters/reporters. We hope to have Mozilla developers and quality assurance people. Anyone with an interest in furthering Mozilla is invited.
What do I need to bring?
We'll be focusing on learning Bugzilla, and finding and reporting new bugs, as well as triage, resolving, and commenting on old bugs. So grab the most recent build you can get, make note of any bugs you've found but not reported and come prepared to surf, search, report, and triage.
What do I do when I get there?
That's an easy one. First, you'll shout, "Hey Asa and sipaq, I'm here for BugDay!" (if you join from the IRC URL above, that shouting will be done for you). Then you'll surf the web, compose mail, read newsgroups, all with Mozilla (or Firebird, Thunderbird or Camino) and when something doesn't work as it should you say something in the channel so we can help you search for any existing bugs and if none are found then we'll help you file a new one. If you already know the bug reporting process then we'll help you get involved with bug triage, resolutions, and verifications.
BugDay will be a great way to mingle with other Mozilla users, developers and QA people, so stop by if you get a chance. If you're not familiar with Bugzilla, or filling out but reports, there will be plenty of people there to answer questions and help you out.
