At CES today, MSI announced a wide range of new products that it will be shipping this year, from laptops to a new graphics card. "CES is a gathering of technology visionaries and we are proud to not only showcase new computing solutions for gamers and content creators, but also share MSI’s vision of the future," said MSI CEO Charles Chiang. "We believe that technology can seamlessly integrate into our lives, and our new lineup is just a glimpse of our vision."
Aimed at "professionals who are gamers at heart", first up is the GS66 Stealth Gaming Laptop. This device comes with an optional 300Hz screen, a muted chassis, and a triple-fan cooling system. MSI says that it has the world's thinnest blades. Coming in Jet Black, it also has a 99.9Whr battery.
There's also the GE66 Raider, which also includes a 300Hz screen and a 99.9Whr battery. This one also offers a limited edition design, as seen in the image above, which is by Collie Wertz, a digital artist that's contributed to the Star Wars prequels, Transformers, Iron Man, and Captain America: Civil War.
Also in the laptop department, MSI announced the Creator 17, which is obviously aimed at creators. It has a 17-inch 4K display that supports HDR1000 with 1,000-nit brightness. It's also a mini-LED display, which can get true blacks like OLED but without the risk of burn-in. It supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut as well.
The Prestige 14 now comes in rose pink with diamond-cut trimmings. MSI says that the new model "inherits Prestige 14’s slim chassis, premium texture, high-end performance and the True Pixel precise color accuracy of MSI’s Prestige series."
MSI also has a new desktop, called the MEG Aegis Ti5 Gaming Desktop, and it sure packs a punch. It includes a 10th-generation Intel Core i9, along with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti GPU, but it also has some interesting features. For one thing, it's actually a desktop that supports 5G cellular connectivity, so perhaps MSI is planning to boost processing power through the high-speed data connectivity of 5G. Also interesting is that it has an OLED panel that lets you adjust your gaming settings.
MSI introduced a new graphics card as well, a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Lightning 10th Anniversary Edition Graphics Card. It has TORX 3.0 fans in MSI's TRI-FROZR Thermal Design. And of course, it has customizable RGB lighting.
There are a few new monitors, such as the Optix MEG381CQR and the Optix MAG342CQR, both of which are curved and have quantum dot technology. There's also the Optix MAG161 Gaming Monitor, which is a portable 240Hz monitor that's just 5mm slim.
Finally, MSI announced some new peripherals. There's the new CK40 Keyboard, which the company says is silent. The CM30 Mouse is also meant to be quiet, and then there are the CH40 Wireless Earbuds, which are actually 5G-compatible.
