MSN Messenger 6 Just Got Better

Patchou has just posted news on an update on his popular Plus! software addon for MSN Messenger. This new upgrade (version 2.20 Beta), now features Full compatibility with MSN Messenger 6.0. Included are some new features, however, note that this beta will be an early version pushed out because of pressure for MSN 6 compatibility, and more features are planned for the future versions of Plus!.

Yes, the Optional sponsor/ad banners are still included in the download package. Patchou has stated that the ad pack has been updated, and adult links have been removed. Remember that this software is still in BETA stage, and is scheduled to be available for download on July 5th, possibly earlier.

New features include:

  • MSN Messenger 6 compatibility.

  • Revamped preferences interface.

  • New formatting tags.

  • New Custom Name feature for renaming contact screennames. User assigned names will appear in both the Contact List and Signin popups.

  • Name Tag feature to be used with Personalized Status to create custom status.

  • More features planned to be implemented at a later date.
