On Monday, Microsoft launched the TV commercial campaign for its Surface tablet, with a video featuring lots of dancing and choreographed moves involving the Windows RT device. It also had a fairly catchy music track behind it all.
Now, Microsoft has released the music for the Surface TV ad for free. The announcement was made via the official Surface Facebook page and the actual download comes from the Soundcloud.com site. There's no word on which artists created the track for the commercial.
Microsoft has actually uploaded two tracks to the Surface Soundcloud.com site. The other free track is the one that was used in part for the mysterious Surface teaser video that Microsoft released on YouTube in June. The music download is actually the full version of the tune, SRFC in C Minor, by Keith Rivers Films.
That original teaser trailer for the Surface tablet has generated over 7 million views on YouTube since its debut in June. The new Surface TV commercial, which one report claims is the "most effective" ad of the year for a tablet, has generated over 1.5 million views in under a week on the Surface YouTube channel.
