The original Natural Selection started as a Half-Life 1 mod that added real time strategy elements to the game's normal first person shooter mechanics. Developer Unknown Worlds has been working for the past few years on a stand alone sequel, Natural Selection 2.
Today, the developers announced that the human faction in the game will be able to access the very cool looking Exosuit. Unknown Worlds states:
Weighing several tons and packing ammunition drums stuffed full of whoop-ass, it represents the pinnacle of the marine tech tree. Its miniguns will tear through the toughest alien life forms, while its armor will even protect the occupant from an Onos goring. Most importantly, the Exosuit can be optioned with a claw: to punch aliens in the face.
Players still have time to check out the beta of the game, including the Exosuit, by pre-ordering Natural Selection 2 for $34.95. However, there are just a few more days to go before that early beta access will end. Unknown Worlds states:
As we speed towards an imminent but as yet unannounced release, we are opening up a Steam Store page on September 4 for pre-orders. On that day, instant beta access will cease.
