Neowin has turned 8 years old today, and to celebrate we will again be giving away some goodies throughout this month to our registered members. We have hosting packages, USB keys and even 2 Neowin coffee mugs that you can win simply by pressing a link that enters you into the competition. More on that later this week!
New Neowin Design, Finity v5.0
I am also very pleased to announce that we have almost completed version 5.0 of Neowin, it is a new theme called "Finity" which takes it's name from design proposals you may have seen way back in 2005 and never made it to the final design that we have now, called "Shift v4". The new theme will be released this month after we have worked away a few bugs and completed the back-end which all staff and Veterans are assisting with. One major change is that all the news from different sections, will now be displayed on one central page, with an option to view the category on a separate page (ie: all Microsoft news). We'll have sneak peeks of those up for you today or tomorrow once the cosmetic bugs are all sorted out.
8 Million by Oct 1st
You may remember the forum thread where I asked, 8 million by Oct 1st 2008 & Win! a copy of Vista Ultimate on May 7th of this year, when it looked like we might miss the target. Well today we are well over 8 million and I'm proud to announce that lylesback2 won the copy of Windows Vista, congrats to him!
