Neowin's most talked about stories of 2008

So what had our members posting the most in 2008? We've searched through the archives to find the stories and topics that sparked our member's interest and made them voice their views and opinions. 2008 was an interesting year for Neowin News, as we've rolled our a new design and migrated from cut & paste news to original articles. We hope that your continued activity and readership in 2009 will double this list next year.

By far, the most popular topic was the upcoming Microsoft operating system Windows 7. It dominated the news nearly every month, with a few of them in the top five stories of the year. Followed closely by topics related to Windows Vista or XP (both their "failures" and continued "successes") and then of course discussion of Apple and Mac related products. One story was even so popular that it was able to sneek into the mix on the last day. Sprinkle in a few random stories about the Pope, Scientology and a few rumors that never came to pass... and you have the most popular stories of 2008.
