Activision has had the James Bond game license for a few years now and in that time it has released a straight-up movie adaptation in Quantum Of Solace, an original game in Blood Stone and even a remake of the classic Nintendo 64 game 007 Goldeneye for modern consoles. Today the company announced plans for its latest James Bond game title which takes the series in yet another new direction.
The game is titled 007 Legends and as the title suggests its main storyline will have an arc that will somehow involve story elements from six classic James Bond movies (currently unnamed) along with the upcoming film Skyfall. Details about the game's storyline have yet to be announced.
007 Legends will also have some extra MI6 Ops Missions to complete which will involve various different goals, some of which will include some stealth and gadget-based gameplay. The press release states that the missions will have the option of being played in the role of one of James Bond's allies or even one of his many super villains.
The game will also have both offlline and online multiplayer support but again, details about that portion of the game have yet to be announced. Developed by Eurocom, the team that also created the 007 Goldeneye Reloaded remake, 007 Legends will be released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 later this fall.
