Telltale may be preparing to add another game to its extensive games roster soon, and this time it could be a sequel to one of its popular series.
The developer recently tweeted out that it will have news to reveal sometime during the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con. Although no more information was provided, fans were quick to assume that this will be a new game announcement by the developer.
The leading theory on what this game could be was a sequel to 2013's The Wolf Among Us. The rumor originated when the lead voice actor from The Wolf Among Us retweeted the Telltale teaser message.
But now, a certain caped crusader has entered the rumor ring, as the Film and Labeling Body of New Zealand posted a new rating today for Batman: The Enemy Within - Season Pass, perhaps ruining Telltale Games' surprise.
The listing depicts Kent Mudle as the game director, who has worked on a number of Telltale games in the past, including Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead: Michonne, and most importantly, Batman.
The developer is also well-known for working on multiple game series at once, with its current projects being Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series and Minecraft: Story Mode - Season Two, so a brand new game announcement isn't out of the question.
Both The Wolf Among Us and Batman series were well received by the gaming community, and a sequel to either would be a welcome addition. Neowin's Usama Jawad even named Batman - The Telltale Series his game of the year for 2016 in his review.
Although a Batman sequel seems like the most likely result, keep in mind that Telltale has yet to announce anything concrete on what its announcement at the San Diego Comic-Con will be, so take this piece of news with a grain of salt.
