A year ago, Microsoft announced a multi-year $400 million partnership with the National Football League that included, among other things, an official NFL app for the Xbox One console. Today, Microsoft announced an update for that app that will add content related to this week's NFL Draft.
Xbox Wire stated that one of the additions is a "Draft Ticker" that will give fans a chance to keep up with the players that are being drafted by NFL teams during the event that takes place from May 8-10. The ticker can also be snapped so that folks can stay on top of the latest events even if they are playing the Madden 25 or watching a movie or TV show.
The blog states:
The app works like you'd expect: The teams are listed in their draft order, with details on what kinds of players they still need. When they make a pick, the app updates instantly and shows who got drafted, allows you to access highlights from that player and what team is on the clock.
The NFL Xbox One app already has draft-related content to check out, including a way to "check out the top prospects and watch highlight videos and expert analysis for every team." As with all of Microsoft's Xbox One media apps, the NFL app requires a paid Xbox Live Gold subscription for access.
