Nintendo debuted the Switch Lite last year in three color options - yellow, turquoise, and gray. If you wanted a smaller, more portable version of the console but didn't like those colors, maybe you'll find solace in today's announcement that a coral - as in, pink - model is joining the lineup soon.
The new color option will hit store shelves on April 3 in the United States and March 20 in Japan. As of the time of writing, Nintendo's European channels haven't mentioned the new model, but it's likely that it's coming to that region as well. The new model will cost the same as the existing colors, which is to say $199.99.
The Switch Lite is a more affordable version of the Switch hybrid, with some significant cuts to the feature set, not the least of which is the inability to connect it to a TV. It's meant to give more people access to the Switch's library if they don't intend to play on a big screen.
We reviewed the console when it came out, and found that the extra portability afforded by the small form factor, plus the sizeable difference in price make it a worthy option for those looking to get into the Switch ecosystem.
