We are quickly closing in on the release of the Nintendo Switch and it appears that the firm's official YouTube channel has revealed details about its 'eShop' and 'News' sections for the console.
So what does the News section actually do for users? Upon booting the system or waking it from sleep, as the name suggests, it delivers a feed on the right side of the UI that will give the latest news, trailers, and behind the scenes content about the console and its titles.
As for the eShop, Nintendo dubs it as the "one-stop shop for browsing, buying, and downloading software". The eShop will allow players to merge their previous Nintendo account's funds to the new Nintendo Switch account to withdraw credits and make purchases. Users will be able to search the eShop using keywords and also use filters to sort by genre to find the game they are looking for.
The Nintendo Switch will arrive at retail outlets on March 3 for $299.99. Although retailers have ended pre-orders, major retail outlets should have consoles on hand for those that choose to walk-in.
