If you're a Windows Insider and have been following along with today's news, then you know that the only way to describe it is as a disaster. First, Dona Sarkar teased the first Fast ring builds that would roll out in over two weeks, 15220 for Mobile and 16203 for PCs.
But before that could happen, Microsoft accidentally released build 16212 for phones and 32-bit PCs. While PC users were able to install the build, Mobile users were not, as it was from the rs_iot branch. To make matters worse, 16212 wasn't only offered to the Fast ring, but all rings of the Insider Program, as well as non-Insiders.
Eventually, the build was pulled, but then three new ones showed up for phones, two from rs_xbox and one from rs_devices. Finally, Brandon LeBlanc has confirmed that while the company fixes the issues that caused this mess, there will be no new builds this week.
Of course, for those that have been waiting over two weeks for a new Fast ring build, having to wait until next week will be disappointing. Hopefully, this means that there will be more cool new features to look forward to.
Also, for a very brief time, Windows 10 Mobile build 15220 was made available. If you were quick enough to grab it, you're ahead of the curve, as it would seem that few will ever see that one.
