Bad news for those who expected Microsoft to release a new Windows 11 preview build today. The official Windows Insider account on Twitter notified that Windows developers could not prepare a "viable flight candidate for this week."
We tried diligently but didn't end up with a viable flight candidate for this week. Hope to be back at it early next week! pic.twitter.com/PyvGQo1Oy7

Windows insiders eagerly wait for Microsoft to release a new Windows 11 preview build in the Dev channel with all the recently announced features. Although some new capabilities, such as Voice Clarity for the Surface Laptop Studio, are already available, the most exciting stuff in the operating system is yet to come. Windows 11 is to get a tabbed UI for File Explorer, and new evidence shows that Microsoft is getting ready to let third-party developers publish custom widgets for Windows 11 in the Microsoft Store.
Microsoft says it plans to ship a new Windows 11 build in the Dev channel "early next week," so standby for a build alert after the weekend.
