Earlier this week, it was reported that HMD Global could be planning to launch the Nokia 8.1 Plus with a punch-hole camera similar to the Samsung Galaxy A8s. Now another leak has revealed one more Nokia device that could feature the display tech in the near future.
According to the Twitter account Nokia Leaks, the alleged Nokia 6.2 or Nokia 6 (2019) will also pack an in-display camera cutout which has become a trend among Android OEMs since late 2018. The company is known to announce a number of devices at Mobile World Congress and the refreshed Nokia 6 could make an appearance at the show. However, the leak mentions that China would be the initial market for the smartphone and a follow-up tweet mentions that the device is also headed to the US.
Apart from the punch-hole camera, the Nokia 6.2 is said to feature the mid-range Snapdragon 632 chipset, 4 or 6 GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel dual-camera setup and Nokia's proprietary OZO audio technology for spatial sound.
HMD Global has launched over 20 smartphones since its debut as Nokia's official licensee back in 2016, and the company is surely making some decent inroads in the crowded Android OEM space since. If the rumored devices become a reality it would be an impressive achievement for the company which is delivering the latest tech trends while rolling out timely updates and pleasing price-conscious markets.
