Samsung announced its Infinity-O displays at the Samsung Developer Conference back in November, and the trend was quick to expand to a wide range of manufacturers. Lenovo, Huawei, Honor, and more have shown off similarly-styled devices, and it now looks like HMD Global will be adhering to this trend as well.
A new set of renders published by 91mobiles in partnership with famed leaker Steve McFly show off a Nokia-branded smartphone with small bezels and a circular cutout in the top left corner of the display, which houses the front-facing camera. The device has minimal bezels all around, except at the bottom, where the Nokia branding is still present.
Additionally, it looks like the phone retains a 3.5mm headphone jack and it features a dual-camera setup on the back, as well as a fingerprint sensor that's not under the display. That display is said to come at Full HD+ resolution. The leak refers to the smartphone as the Nokia 8.1 Plus, but there's no guarantee that this will be the final name for it.
Mobile World Congress takes place next month in Barcelona, and that seems like the most likely date for any phone announcement at this point. Of course, most people will probably be more interested in the rumored flagship from the company, which is expected to have a whopping five cameras on the rear.
