Now that the Lumia 1020 smartphone from Nokia has been revealed, the company is wasting no time showing off what their 41 megapixel Windows Phone 8 device can do. Nokia has released a series of promotional videos on its YouTube channel that spotlight several of the Lumia 1020's features.
The videos include one that was taken at the New York City press conference location just before today's media event. Nokia said that the video itself was taken with the Lumia 1020 and with its audio recorded with the camera's external microphones. The clip shows the presenter as he demos the pro camera software inside the Lumia 1020 along with its zoom features.
The other videos are more standard promotional clips. One shows a trio of people just walking around and taking pictures with the Lumia 1020, using its zoom capabilities to get close-up images.
Yet another video has what looks like a tourist taking pictures with the camera while she walks around a European city. She uses the Pro Camera software features included in the Lumia 1020. Nokia has confirmed that this software will come to the Lumia 92x family in a future firmware update.
The final promo video puts the spotlight on sound, specifically when recording video with the Lumia 1020's camera which Nokia claims is far better than what the 'normal' smartphone allows.
