NTL have jumped on the now popular "Internet Toolbar" idea. They have sent out emails today inviting its customers to signup for a limited trial of its new toolbar.
As toolbars have become more popular they have attracted allot of attention. Examples of these toolbars include Google, Yahoo and Alexa. They offer searching, site info & pop-up blocking directly from Internet Explorer.
Unfortunately NTL were unavailable for comment at the time of posting so we were not able to ascertain whether they will re-brand an existing toolbar or elect to build their own.
This follows on shortly from their last trial which was for Broadband Medic. That product offered and easy to use interface to help it's new & existing customers. With over 1 million subscribers it seems NTL (also know as NTHell by its customers) is focusing on its broadband & internet customers another planned upgrade will also up the download speed to a max of 1.5mb. Read more for the Invitation Email.
