OWNERS OF THE XBOX in the UK will be able to play online from next March as part of a deal Microsoft has forged with NTL.
According to NTL, a third of its broadband customers here in Blighty use a cable modem that's inside a digital set top box, making it easy for gamers to play live on the TV.
The firm said it will offer a 600Kbps service for the Xbox, and claims it only has a contention ratio of 20:1.
Xbox Live! needs an Ethernet connection so NTL will provide a connection kit for the Microsofties.
But NTL UK isn't ready to tell us just how much the service will cost when it launches next spring.
