Nvidia has announced the availability of the latest version of its GeForce Game Ready driver. This update bumps the version up to 378.78.
Of particular note is the addition of support for the $699 GeForce GTX 1080 TI, which is available for purchase today. Along with it, performance has been optimized for a number of DirectX 12 games, including Ashes of the Singularity, Tom Clancy's The Division, Hitman, Gears of War 4, Rise of The Tomb Raider and more. Nvidia cites an average 16% improvement in performance across the five most popular DX12 games. Performance has been improved for games developed using the Vulkan API as well.
Thanks to this update, the recently launched Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands can now take advantage of Nvidia's Ansel (which allows you to take in-game shots in HDR, compose them into a 360-degree image and share it to your PC, phone or VR headset), as well as DSR (Dynamic Super Resolution), Surround (which allows you to combine up to five displays to create an immersive experience), and more.
You can get this newest driver via the links provided below, or through the GeForce Experience application.
