O2 will offer all new and existing Pay As You Go (PAYG) customers access to 4G connectivity across all bundles as part of a revamp to its Big Bundles PAYG tariffs.
Beginning today, customers with a compatible handset will be able to access 4G on any Big Bundle tariff, which start at just £10 per month. Like other networks, the Big Bundles allow customers to convert PAYG credit to a bundle of inclusive minutes, texts, and (now 4G) data.
The new O2 Big Bundle tariffs offer similar allowances to rival networks such as EE and Vodafone, who both offer packages beginning at £10 per month. The O2 website hasn't updated with the new deals yet, but here's the bundles on offer:
- £10 per month: 250 minutes, 1000 SMS, 500MB 4G data
- £15 per month: 750 minutes, 2000 SMS, 1GB 4G data
- £20 per month: 1500 minutes, 4000 SMS, 2GB 4G data
- £25 per month: 3000 minutes, 4000 SMS, 4GB 4G data
The new bundles also offer large increases in the number of inclusive minutes each month; customer opting for the £20 bundle get 275% more minutes than the old tariffs, while the £25 bundle offers more minutes than any other network on PAYG.
Phil Maple, General Manager of Consumer at O2, said:
Big Bundles gives customers complete flexibility and control over how much they spend, and now they get more for their money than ever before. With all our Big Bundles now offering 4G and with huge amounts of minutes, texts and data, we’re making O2 Pay & Go even better value for our customers.’
The new tariffs are likely to be good news for anyone visiting the UK on holiday, as if you have a compatible 4G phone, you'll now be able to get super fast speeds to share your travels.
