Acclaimed RPG creator Obsidian Entertainment has begun teasing its next project. Heading to the studio's official website now displays "adverts" from some retro-futuristic looking companies, along with a countdown leading to The Game Awards event that kicks off next week.
However, before Xbox fans get too excited considering Microsoft is in the process of acquiring the studio, this doesn't appear to be a game that falls under that deal. The yet to be named title will be published through Private Division, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive.
Those interested in finding out what the game is about will have to tune in to The Game Awards 2018 ceremony on December 6 at 6pm PT/ 9pm ET. There are over ten new game announcements planned to happen during the show, however, so it might be a bit of a wait before Obsidian takes the stage.
This unnamed RPG will likely be available on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 much like Obsidian's most recent title Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire. But, going forward, expect to see Xbox One and Windows 10 exclusivity for any of its future games while operating under Microsoft.
