Microsoft released the latest preview update for the Office Mobile app on iOS. Version 2.60 (build number 22032900) brings two noticeable feature changes: improved PDF support and offline editing capabilities for files stored in OneDrive.
The Office Mobile app on iOS now comes with an improved UX for PDF files. After installing version 2.60, users will be able to access popular PDF actions using the create button on the bottom of the screen. Tap the button with a plus icon, select PDF, then choose one of the available options to scan a PDF, convert images to PDF, or convert documents to PDF.
Another significant change in version 2.60 is improved integration with the OneDrive app. The latest update allows editing documents stored in OneDrive while offline. If a file is marked as "available offline" in the OneDrive app, you can open it in the Office app, make necessary changes, and save it for future upload.
Office 2.60 for iOS is currently available to Office Insiders with access to preview versions in the TestFlight app. You can try joining the program using this link, but unfortunately, Microsoft currently does not accept new testers due to the limited number of participants (TestFlight does not allow more than 10,000 testers per app).
You can expect Microsoft to release Office 2.60 in the stable channel in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, version 2.59 is available in the App Store via this link.
